Reginald Bernard Saunders, 43, of the 20 block of Neville St., died Jan. 8, 1999, at Hampton Veterans Hospital, Hampton. Born in Portsmouth, he was a retired disabled U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his parents, Mildred W. Saunders and Edward Saunders, both of Portsmouth; two sisters, Vanessa Harris and Alfreda Pyatt, both of Portsmouth; three brothers, Jerry Saunders of Suffolk, Garry Saunders of Portsmouth and Curtis L. Saunders of Atlanta, Ga.; aunts, Olivia Brown and Rosetta McKinney, both of Chicago, Ill.; uncle, James E. White of New York, N.Y.; great-uncle, Willie Stevens of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Bernard Thomas and the Rev. Nathaniel Scates. Burial with military honors will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon today.
