VIRGINIA BEACH - Rob Mickley, 54, passed away Monday, Dec. 20,2010. He was born in Portsmouth to the late George Robert Mickley and Trudy Mickley. Rob was employed by the City of Virginia Beach, Department of Communications and Information Technology for 19 years. He is survived by his wife, Susie Mickley; sons, Josh, Tripp and Tyler Mickley and his fiancé Keila Vazquez; sister, Lynn Short and brother-in-law Dwayne Short; mother-in-law, Mary West; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George and Brenda Hogge and Steve and Susan Lehr; and loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rob lived and loved life with passion. He was a patient, kind, loving father, husband, and friend and his main missions in life were to provide lifetime memories and the love of music especially for his sons and for all those who shared his life. His spirit can be forever felt at any place the ocean meets the sand. A memorial service will be planned in January. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, will be handling arrangements.
