Portsmouth - Linda Lee Hamilton, 65, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 14, 2013. She was a native of Portsmouth, and attended Sweethaven Baptist Church. She was employed as a secretary for Quikrete of Virginia for 20 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, John C. Hamilton and her brother, Michael Richmond.
Linda is survived by her mother, Annie Lee Myers; her daughter Michelle Smith (Steven); grandchildren, Owen and Kendall; step-daughter, Dana Hamilton; step-sister, CarolAnn Baines (Charlie); step-brothers, David Myers (Jody), Norman Myers (Cecelia); cousin, Robbie Jordan; an aunt, Dixie Jordan; and other cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of Linda's life on 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Loving Funeral Home by Rev. Cary Borkert with burial to follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
