CHESAPEAKE - Thomas Ashby Jordan, 62, of the 2400 block of Taylorwood Blvd., died July 9, 2006, in his home.
A native of Hertford, N.C., he was predeceased by his parents, Thomas F. and Delma H. Jordan and a sister, Margaret Ann Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a retired instrument technician with Proctor and Gamble and an Army veteran of Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy M. Jordan; three daughters, Kristy Holland and husband Wayne of Portsmouth, Tamara Stevenson and husband Bryan of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Kimberly Wheeler and husband Dennis of Kalispell, Mont.; one sister, Frankie Jones and husband Irving of Chesapeake; and seven grandchildren, Kendel and Jared Holland, Jenna and Austin Stevenson, and Christopher, Ian and James Wheeler.
A funeral will be held today at 6 p.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Dr. Archie Corbin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m. today. Burial with military honors will be at Quantico National Cemetery Wednesday at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alexander Baptist Church Building Fund.
