A resident of Disputanta, Va., Vesta Jeann Rousey Tidd died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997, in a Richmond, Va., hospital. She was 54, born July 17, 1943, in Huntington, W.Va., and was a former resident of Baton Rouge. She was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Visiting at Preddy Funeral Home chapel, Gordonsville, Va., 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Graveside services at Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa, Va., at 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Mike Hatfield.
Survived by husband, George W. Tidd, Disputanta; three daughters, Janet Sullivan Perry, Houston, Judy Sullivan Hall, Troy, Va., and Jeanne Sullivan Cain, Baton Rouge; two brothers, Johney Robert Rousey II, Portsmouth, Va., and Harry C. Rousey, Richmond; a sister, Brenda K. White, Louisa; and six grandchildren. Preceded in death by father and mother, Johney Robert and Eddith Parsons Rousey, Louisa. She was a member of the American Legion in Petersburg, Va.
