Carrollton - Ronald Carroll Gayle, 24, died Tuesday 28 March, 1967 in a Portsmouth hospital after a short illness.

He was a native of Portsmouth and the son of Fitzhugh L. and Mrs. Doris T. Gayle of Carrollton. He was employed by the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Jean Gayle; one son, Richard Lee Gayle, both of Portsmouth; three sisters, Mrs. Joan G Clark, Newport news, Miss Margaret Sue Gayle, Miss Linda Faye Gayle both of Carrollton; three brothers, Fitzhugh L. Gayle, Jr., Weldon, N.C., Joseph G Gayle, drive, and William R. Gayle, Portsmouth.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 30 at 2 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield. Burial will be in Oakland Christian Church Cemetery, Chuckatuck.
