WILLIAM BRIGHT JR., RETIRED TEACHER
William C. Bright Jr., 48, of the 900 block of Harrington Ave., a medically retired social studies teacher, died Jan. 11, 1992, in a hospital.
Mr. Bright was a born in Portsmouth. He taught at I.C. Norcom High School and was a social worker with Chesapeake Social Services. He was a member of Larchmont United Methodist Church and a graduate of Old Dominion University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and continued as its adviser. He was past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 38, BPOE.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Gooding Bright.
A memorial service will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Larchmont United Methodist Church with private burial in Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends may join the family at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
