George W. Plum
Class of 1958


George W. Plum, 60, of Greenwood died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, at his residence.

Born in Shenandoah on July 2, 1937, he was the son of the late Frank and Louise Austin Plum.

He was an instrument maker in the Physics Department at the University of Virginia for 31 years. George was an accomplished water color artist. He was an avid runner and hiker and participated with his running partner, Tom Bain, in the Shamrock Marathon (26 miles.)

In memory of George donations can be made to the Western Albemarle Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 188, Crozet, or Crozet Fire Company, P.O. Box 373, Crozet, Va. 22932

The family will receive friends at Anderson Funeral Home to celebrate George on Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, from 6 to 8 p.m. Viewing will be available for those who choose.

Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
