PORTSMOUTH - Kenneth Rose Mitchell, Jr., 76, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016. A native of Portsmouth, he was a retired delivery man for an ice cream company and was a dedicated and faithful volunteer for Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan, of Va. Beach; two sons, Stephen and Stacy Mitchell, both of Portsmouth; a brother, Doug Mitchell of CA; numerous grandchildren and a long time special friend , Virginia Alver.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Chaplain Frances Dille. Burial will be private in Olive Branch Cemetery.
