WALKER, ROY T., 53, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (Feb. 15, 1993) at Bayfront Medical Center from a gunshot wound sustained during an altercation on Tyrone Boulevard.
Born in Portsmouth, Va., he came here in 1986 from Gulf Breeze and was project director for the Sand Pebbles Resort on Treasure Island, a subsidiary of Shawnee on the Delaware. He also was involved in general direct marketing for the company. In 1989 he received an award as employee of the year from Shawnee and was past pre sident of the Methodist Men's Club in Gulf Breeze. He served as a lance corporal in the Marine Corps and received the Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include a son, Nicholas Michael, Bradenton; four daughters, Lisa Walker, Jackson, Miss., Lori Walker, Winchendon, Mass., Johanna Walker, Pensacola Beach, and Justine Walker, New London, Conn.; and two sisters, Beverly Gavin, Hampton, Va., and Sharon Harrison, Chesapeake, Va.
