Paul Marsh Harbert Class of 1957 | VIRGINIA BEACH - Paul Marsh Harbert, 63, died Jan. 12, 2002, in a local hospital.Mr. Harbert was born in Cambridge, Ohio. He graduated from Cradock High School and was retired from civil service, where he worked as an accounts analyst. He enjoyed his work, which frequently involved travel to several European countries. He was particularly fond of foreign sports cars, old movies and jazz music of the late 1930s and 1940s. He will leave a space in the lives of all who loved him. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Harbert; a brother, William D. Harbert and his wife Mildred of Norfolk; a sister-in-law, Juliette Pearce; six nieces, Jackie Furman, Ava Loeb, Edna Hopper, Donna James, Pamela Jones and Melissa Harbert; and his beloved dog, Andre. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Virginia Medical School or to the SPCA. Note: According to family sources, Paul Harbert graduated with the class of 1957 although he is listed with the seniors of 1958. Therefore he will be listed with both classes. |
