Nancy Boothe-Higgins Class of 1957 | Nancy Boothe Higgins, 70, of West Chester, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at her home. Born in Bingham Canyon, Utah, she was the daughter of Dixie Kimball and the late George Boothe. Nancy was employed by UPS for 15 years, retiring in 1998. She was a longtime member of Paoli Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the church choir. She was a volunteer at the Chester County Historical Society, Judge of Elections for West Goshen Township, and recently retired from her position as secretary for the West Goshen Planning Commission. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Nancy is survived by her son, William Boothe Higgins and wife, Jennifer, of Gales Ferry, Conn.; and daughter, Rebecca A. Lanahan and husband, Jim, of West Chester; and by grandchildren, Nicholas Lanahan of Spring City, L. Boothe, Audrey, Zachary and Maxwell Higgins of Connecticut. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Paoli Presbyterian Church, 225 S. Valley Road, Paoli, where family and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Paoli Presbyterian Church, 225 S. Valley Road, Paoli, PA 19301. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the James J. Terry Funeral Home, Downingtown. |
