PORTSMOUTH - Raymond Albert Varner, 71, passed away Jan. 8, 2010 in Virginia Beach. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He is survived by his daughter, Donna A. Varner of Virginia Beach; his son, Raymond Douglas Varner of Portsmouth; and a sister, Carolyn Peters of Point Pleasant, N.J. Arrangements are private.
