Newport News - Robert "Bob" Perry, 69, passed away March 28, 2008.
 
A native of Edenton, N.C., he was raised in Portsmouth and was a resident of the Peninsula. Bob worked in the car business both in Portsmouth and on the Peninsula since 1961, and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Perry.

His memory is left to be cherished by his loving wife of 43 years, Susie Perry; a son, Andy Perry of Williamsburg; a daughter, Michele "Shelly" Perry Shermer and her husband Charles of Wake; his mother, Mae Perry Hall; a brother, Gary Perry of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Amanda Lee Shermer, Robert Gray Shermer and Marshall Garrett Shermer; one great-grandchild, Addison Lee Shermer; and a host of other loving family.

A memorial will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in Peninsula Funeral Home.
