Kitty Hawk - James Edward Tribble, III, 78, of Kitty Hawk, North
Carolina, passed away on June 9, 2014. Jim was born May 21, 1936 in
South Carolina and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia, the son of James
E. Tribble, Jr. and Emily Rice Tribble. He was a veteran of the U.S.

many people at Cape Point referred to him as “the Mitchell man”. Jim
was a past scoutmaster and explorer post adviser, as well as

Jim has installed wood duck nesting houses on the community pond -
he loved all things “ducky”.
He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Jane Wynne Tribble.
After he was widowed, Jim was lucky enough to meet and have in his
life a new partner, June H. Donham, of Kill Devil Hills, North
Carolina. Jim is survived by his sons, Brian L. Tribble and wife
