Suffolk - Doris Casteen McClenney, 92, joined her heavenly father on
Saturday, April 4, 2015. She was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late
Gladys and John T. Casteen, Sr. She was predeceased by her twin
brother, John T. Casteen, Jr., sister, Shirley Tretola and
great-grandson, Tyler Fago.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 71 years, Roy McClenney,
Sr.; her son, Roy McClenney, Jr. and his sons, Sean McClenney and
Brandon Conger; son, Paul McClenney and his wife, Vivian, and their
daughters, Melissa Fago and Tara Worley and sons-in-law, Dale Fago
and George Worley. She is also survived by great-grandchildren,
Corey and Halle Fago and Regan and Grayson Worley, as well as many
extended family members.
Doris grew up in the Cradock area of Portsmouth and raised her
family in the Brentwood section of Chesapeake until Roy retired and
they moved to Massanutten, VA. They returned 3 years ago to Suffolk,
VA to be near family.
She was a member of Nansemond River Baptist Church in Suffolk, VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to Nansemond River
Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held at Olive Branch Cemetery in
Portsmouth, VA on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Turner
presiding. Loving Funeral Home is handling the arrangements and
